Cuba’s Coral Reefs

NPR covers scientists efforts to protect Cuba’s unspoiled coral reefs. Los Jardines de la Reina, or the Queen’s Gardens, host pristine coral reefs and are part of the Caribbean’s largest marine reserve banning fishing over the 386-square miles of the islands. Kip visited these reefs with Sylvia Earle’s Mission Blue Foundation as part her ‘Hope Spots’ Initiative to bring light to places of hope in ocean protection. Read the entire article here.
